Gaia Philharmonic Choir

ガイア2022.jpg

"Gaia" is the name of the goddess of the earth in Greek mythology, and also means the earth that nurtures all life.

The name "Gaia" is derived from the desire to pray for peace by singing together and playing unshakable music like the eternal earth.

The group focuses on exchanges with domestic and foreign choirs, and has held joint concerts "Three" with choirs in Singapore and the Philippines six times in each country.

They also held joint concerts "Four Leaves Concert" with choirs in Hokkaido, Japan in 2016,2018 and 2022.

In 2001 and 2002, the group won the Gold Prize at the JCA National Choral Competition; in 2014, they participated in the International Choral Competition Mundus Cantat, where they won the overall Grand Prix.
